Billabong Welcomes Helen Schettini

Posted: Jan 25, 2012 Coming off an incredible winter, Helen Schettini has joined the Billabong team. Following her scene stealing video part in the YES movie Helen has generated a huge industry wide buzz. Her backcountry style and experience completes an already great team of riders including Jenny Jones, Anne-Flore Marxer and Jamie Anderson. "Helen is a great addition to the team as her approach to the backcountry is unique," said David Pitschi. "She has the potential to have a great career and we are proud to welcome her to the family."

I look like I got hit by a truck, but I'm actually feeling good. I was out filming last Thursday, and landed in my bombhole. My knee ate my face:) A few stitches and a swollen black eye...

Greg Todds Memorial NoBoard Event

This was the first time I had the pleasure of attending this event. I did not know Greg Todds personally, but  I have heard some amazing stories of him.

 Noboarding is the funnest (yes, i said funnest) thing I've ever done. RIP Greg Todds. 

...a slight hiccup about 10 kms outside of Revelstoke. Normally not a big deal but we had the wrong size tire iron... BCAA to the rescue!

Lastly, the silent auction later that night. It raised over $10,000 for Greg's kids! This last box was Rube's "mystery box" that went for $400. YES.

It's that time of year again... backcountry adventures!

Back at it... early mornings, cold feet, sore body, gas fumes, sleepless nights. I can't get enough!
